Schematic
Click a pin, or press W, to start a wire; click to place each corner, and finish on a pin or on another wire (a junction). Wires join only where you click one onto another: run a wire over an end or a junction that was already there and it crosses it, no connection. In a breadboard hole the strip does the joining and nothing else does, so a wire bent over a hole is just wire lying across the board. The run is laid round the parts rather than over them — keep the corner you chose wherever it is clear, and select a wire and press Re-lay it to have the router draw it again. On a board it comes back as jumpers: the five holes of a column are one node, so the board does the turning and every jumper is one straight piece. Two strips in the same half take one level run along a free row; a connection that has to cross the centre channel goes level to a free column, upright across the channel in it, and level on again — the way you would lay it by hand, and with no corners to read. Ctrl-click one jumper of a connection to light the whole of it, and Re-lay it draws all of it again. Click an open end (a small square) to carry on drawing that wire. Ctrl-click a wire to follow the whole run end to end — it lights up and the panel says what each end lands on. Ctrl-click a pin to light every wire its signal travels to reach it, back to where it starts; Shift-click a pin to ring every pin sharing its net. Hover a pin for where its signal comes from and goes, and Alt-click it to leave that on the board as a note — it says what the pin carries and keeps up with the wiring, comes up over the runs while you read it and sits under them otherwise, and another Alt-click takes it off. Type your own words into a note and it keeps them./ turns the corner the other way, Backspace takes one back, double-click or Esc ends the wire. Drag a part and its wires follow; drag a wire segment to slide it; drop a part on the left panel to remove it. Click a switch lever or the supply’s power button to flip it. Wheel zooms, dragging the grid pans, Shift-drag boxes a group, Del removes, R turns the selection a quarter turn (Shift+R the other way).
