The details you will want to look up: the notation each tool accepts, your account, and answers to common questions.

Notation

MeaningLogic Gate SimulatorCircuit SimulatorBreadboard Simulator
NOTA' !A ~AA′ !A ~A NOTA'
ANDAB A*B A.B A&BAB A·B A*B A&B ANDAB A·B
ORA+B A|BA+B ORA+B
XORA^BA^B XOR—
Constants0 10 1—

Everywhere, brackets group, and NOT binds tightest, then AND, then OR (Logic Gate Simulator puts XOR between AND and OR).

Your account and data

Your profile shows everything LOGICS keeps about you: your name and email, your plan and usage, the devices you are signed in on, and your projects. From there you can change your name or password, sign out other devices, download all of it as a file, or delete the account. Your password is never stored as typed, only as a one-way hash.

Questions and fixes

My work isn't in my project.

The tool was probably opened on its own rather than from the project. Look for the project's name at the top right of the tool; if it isn't there, open the project page and use its Open … in this project button. Work saved outside a project is listed on the dashboard.

A wire is red, or a probe reads X.

Nothing is driving that net, two outputs are fighting over it, or it is caught in a feedback loop. In Breadboard Simulator the Checks tab names the cause and Show selects it.

A chip on my breadboard does nothing.

Most often it has no power: the breadboard's rails carry nothing until you wire them to the supply, and the top and bottom rails are separate. Checks lists every chip that is not powered and which pin is missing.

An LED won't light.

Select it: the inspector says which side is not HIGH or not LOW, or that there is too little voltage across it. A 74LS output can sink far more current than it sources, so an LED belongs between +5 V and the output, through a resistor.

I was signed out.

Sessions last 30 days, and changing your password signs out every other device. Sign in again and you come back to the page you were on.

From Boolean algebra to breadboard.
